KaraLin Root, D.O., F.A.A.P.
Dr. KaraLin Root is a board certified pediatrician who joined Southwest Children’s Center in 2018. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University at College Station in 2011. She received her medical degree from the UNTHSC in Fort Worth, and completed her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in San Antonio. Dr. Root met her husband, Jacob Root, in college and they now have two sons. They spend most of their time away from work playing outside with their boys and their labradoodle. They enjoy good food and wine, and being outdoors. Some of her work-related passions include newborn care and counseling, breastfeeding and lactation report, and positive parenting/discipline.
